What next?

A massive 11,000 comments have been received in response to the local plan issues and options consultation that the City Council ran during June and July.

The local plan is used to guide our local planning policy and decisions on matters ranging from the location of new housing to how the city can reduce its carbon footprint – so it’s great that so many people have engaged in this consultation.

The next step is to carry out further consultation with residents in January about sites we’ve identified for allocation for particular types of development such as employment, housing and community facilities.

To keep up to date on our schedule keep an eye on our blog or visit the Local Plan Review page.
