Third Group of Local Plan Policies go to Committee

The Development Plan Scrutiny Sub Committee will consider more Local Plan policies on Wednesday.

These will include;

  • Cambridge Airport Public Safety Zone and Air Safeguarding Zones
  • Hazardous Installations
  • Lord’s Bridge – Mullard Radio Astronomy Observatory
  • Affordable Housing and Dwelling Mix

and on Design issues;

  • Responding to Context
  • Creating Successful Places
  • Designing New Buildings
  • Altering and Extending Existing Buildings
  • Designing Landscape and the Public Realm
  • Tall Buildings and the Skyline in the Cambridge   

and for Conservation;

  • Conservation and Enhancement of Cambridge’s Historic Environment
  • Local Heritage Assets
  • Works to a Heritage Asset to Address Climate Change
  • Shopfronts, Signage and Shop Security

and on Community Facilities;

  • Development and Change of Use in District, Local and Neighbourhood Centres
  • Community and Leisure Facilities
  • Education Facilities
  • Health Facilities
  • Protection of Public Houses

and finally relating to Transport;

  • Supporting Sustainable Access to Development
  • Mitigating the Transport Impact of Development
  • Parking Management, including Car and Cycle Parking Standards
