Hearing sessions for the Local Plan examination will be taking place tomorrow in the committee rooms at the Guildhall in Cambridge.
The session is due to start at 10am and will cover subjects such as:
- Specialist Colleges and Language Schools
- Student Housing
- Affordable Housing
- Site RM1 – Fen Road
- Site R17 – Mount Pleasant House
- Site U1 – Old Press/Mill Lane
- Residential Space Standards (including Lifetime Homes)
- Site SPO16 – Cambridge Tennis & Hockey Club SPO06 and Emmanuel College Playing Field

The City Council has been working in partnership with local stakeholders to prepare a framework for change in the Mitcham’s Corner area. This culminated in the development of the draft Mitcham’s Corner Development Framework Supplementary Planning Document which was approved at Development Plan Scrutiny Sub Committee on 21 July 2016.
Public consultation on the document runs from 9am on Monday 5 September 2016 to 5pm on Monday 17 October 2016. To register your comments visit our online consultation page.

Today’s Local Plan hearing session on Policy 23: Mill Road Opportunity Area has ended for the day. Hearings will resume at 10am tomorrow with Policy 24: Cambridge Railway Station, Hills Road Corridor to the City Centre Opportunity Area.
Local Plan hearing sessions on areas of major change (Policy 23: Mill Road Opportunity Area and Policy 24: Cambridge Railway Station, Hills Road Corridor to the City Centre Opportunity Area) and Climate Change (Policies 27-36) are being held at Cambridge City Council’s Committee Rooms in the Guildhall from 12 to 14 July 2016.
